Our Ingredients

Nature-full, Cruelty Free

At TiliaLime, we are committed to responsibly crafting products that are effective and safe for you, too! That’s why every product is individually designed using nature-derived, science-backed ingredients that have been tested to ensure their efficacy and purity.

We strive to be entirely transparent about all the ingredients we use. We currently have over 20 natural ingredients across our formulations and we guarantee that all of our products are free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petroleum by-products and toxins. We are also entirely cruelty free! In fact, we are Leaping Bunny certified.

Apricot.

Apricot oil is highly emollient but light and safe to apply anywhere on the body. It is easily absorbed deep into your skin to moisturize and soothe any irritation. Once applied, apricot oil provides nutrition and support, reducing the aging process and preventing damage from free radicals.

The best part? It will leave you feeling silky-soft but no one will guess the secret to your natural glow.

Avocado.

This is one of our favorite oils. It contains various fatty acids like palmitic acid, linolenic (omega 3) acid, linoleic (omega 6), and oleic (omega 9) acid as well as vitamins A, C, D and E. Together they act to create a wonderful antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory moisturizer. Avocado oil also increases collagen production, helping reduce skin irritation and wrinkles.

Lastly, it actually helps accelerate wound healing - which means it will keep you beautiful lips soft and blemish free!

Jojoba.

Jojoba is actually a liquid wax pressed from the bean of the jojoba shrub. Its structure closely resembles our skin’s natural sebum, so you will feel especially replenished when using it.
Jojoba is naturally antibiotic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and is rich in iodine, omega 6 and 9, and vitamins A, D, and E. And it can fight fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen production and even cleanse your skin. That is why this magic potion of an oil is present in almost all of our products.

Olive & Safflower.

Olive and Safflower oils use date back to Ancient Egypt. Both are highly oleic, meaning they boost the elasticity of your skin and help it return to its natural, supple state. They contain vitamins A and E that get to work deep under the surface of your skin, repairing sun damage, unclogging pores, and regenerating cell growth. All that’s left is youthful, healthy, glowing skin.

Sweet Almond Oil.

Sweet almond oil is smoothing and mild. It's safe to use all over your body and to use in cooking as well. This oil regenerates skin tissue and helps fight inflammation in your entire body. Its high lipid content strengthens the function of your skin as a barrier, without clogging pores or leaving you greasy. Try applying it after a shower to add natural glow to your skin and stay silky soft all day.

Sunflower Oil.

This fast-absorbing oil is extremely high in vitamin E - an antioxidant that helps restore skin cells from harmful UV rays.

It is also an excellent source of vitamins C and D, and beta-carotene. Sunflower oil improves your skins's moisture retention and normalizes its natural sebum and cell regeneration by protecting the collagen and elastin in your skin.

Pumpkin Seed Oil.

This is a heavier oil which, when used in smaller amounts, becomes a powerful elixir for your skin's health. Pumpkin seed oil is rich in vitamin E, zinc, omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, and is loaded with antioxidants. It also contains vitamin A and beta-carotene that keep your skin firm and healthy. Vitamins B2 and B3 soften your skin and help maintain a clear complexion. Potassium promotes your skins natural moisture retention and, most importantly, Zinc assists with new cell formation and collagen production.

Beeswax & Honey.

We use beeswax in most of our products. It naturally acts as an anti-allergenic, toxin-free, natural, golden honey-scented magic. It actually forms a protective barrier on your skin to keep moisture in and all the nasties out! When you use our lip balm, the beeswax helps attract the water molecules from the air around you, keeping your lips deliciously hydrated. And since it’s full of vitamin A, beeswax rejuvenates your skin and makes it glow.
We also source our beeswax from our local beekeepers who purify it especially for us and use the funds to take extra-special case of their bees. So it's a win-win.

We use cocoa in our products to give your lips that extra burst of antioxidants and a gentle exfoliation. But cocoa does more than that. Essential Oils.

We carefully select a variety of essential oil pairings for their unique therapeutic abilities. When properly diluted, these oils provide antibacterial, antiseptic, and analgesic properties. They improve your circulation, can provide a cooling or a warming sensation and rejuvenate your skin, and provide a soothing aroma. We only use the safest and purest oils in small concentrations; oils that have been extracted by a method that would yield the utmost benefit.

Here are some of our favorites.

Eucalyptus.

We use the Eucalyptus Radiata oil in our formulations as it is less harsh than the more commonly used Eucalyptus Globulus (commonly found in aroma therapy). The oil is steam distilled from its bluish-green leaves - that are also a favorite food of Koalas! Eucalyptus has also been used as traditional medicine by the aboriginal peoples of Australia.

This oil's unique chemical composition makes it a purifying, cleansing, clarifying, and immune-boosting agent that is ideal for use on skin and in aromatherapy. However, you should never ingest this oil or use it in undiluted form. It has the ability to reduce harmful surface and airborne bacteria, facilitates easy breathing, enhances feelings of relaxation and soothes your nervous system.

Organic Steam-distilled Lime Oil.

Lime essential oil has a sweet, citrus aroma, which is highly soothing and helps reduce headaches. These healing benefits can be attributed to the oil’s anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, decongestant, antiseptic, antibacterial, and stimulating qualities.

We use the purest form of lime essential oil that has been extracted using the steam distilled method - less harsh than other varieties. Our formulations include less than 1% total of essential oils.

Pink Grapefruit.

Have you ever sliced into a fresh grapefruit? If you've experienced its delicious, bitter-sweet aroma you understand why we're absolutely in love with this oil!

Grapefruit oil is high in vitamin C, which is an antioxidant. It helps keep your skin free of bacteria so it can do its best to heal and regenerate normally. And above all, grapefruit smells absolutely heavenly and soothes your nervous system. Experience cold-pressed Grapefruit Oil in our Revival lotion bar and The Original lip balm.

Sweet Orange.

Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil is a yellowy-orange liquid with a sweet, fresh, fruity rich scent. In highly diluted form, this oil has the ability to promote healing, boost circulation, promote skin radiance and smoothness, as well as reduce stress and provide a feeling of freshness.
